Electric Actuators
Fisher™ easy-Drive™ electric actuators — the 200L (linear) and 200R (rotary) — bring throttling and on/off control to valves where instrument air isn't available. Install, calibrate and forget it.
- Electric · no instrument air
- Modbus / 4–20 mA / dry contact
- Holds Class IV shutoff without power
- ATEX · IP66 / NEMA 4X
What it is
Electric actuation, without the air
An electric actuator uses an electric motor and gear reduction to move the valve — no instrument air, no compressor. Once limited to on/off duty, modern designs handle continuous throttling control, and brushless motors largely eliminate the motor burnout that came with rapid on/off cycling.
The Fisher™ easy-Drive™ line is built for exactly the places pneumatics struggle: wellheads, remote pads and unmanned sites with no plant air. It calibrates and holds, connects to an existing Modbus network for round-the-clock status, and keeps tight shutoff in position without drawing power — the electric answer where running air doesn't make sense.
The line
Two easy-Drive™ models
One electric platform, two body styles — linear for sliding-stem valves, rotary for quarter-turn. Tell us the valve and duty and we'll confirm the right one.
easy-Drive™ 200L
Compact linear electric actuator for sliding-stem control valves — throttling or on/off service where instrument air is not available.
easy-Drive™ 200R
Quarter-turn electric actuator for rotary control valves — throttling or on/off service with the same install-and-forget electric drive.
Why easy-Drive™
Install, calibrate, forget it
The capabilities that make electric the right call where air isn't an option.
No instrument air
Electric drive for sites and wellheads with no plant air — no compressor system to justify or maintain.
Remote monitoring
Connects to an existing Modbus network for 24/7 status without sending personnel to the site.
Low power draw
12 or 24 V DC operation — under ⅓ W at rest — so it runs where power budgets are tight.
Holds shutoff without power
Class IV shutoff maintained indefinitely with no power consumption once in position.
Flexible control signal
Modbus RTU (RS-485), 4–20 mA or dry contact, configurable for the loop.
Field-tough
−20 °C to 70 °C operation with no heaters, explosion-proof housing (Class I Div 1 C/D · ATEX) and IP66 / NEMA 4X.
Common applications
Where easy-Drive™ fits
- Wellheads and gas-production sites with no instrument air or compressor
- Remote and unmanned locations needing 24/7 Modbus monitoring
- Throttling or on/off control where electric drive beats running air
- Low-power-budget installations (12 / 24 V DC, solar / battery)
- Plants electrifying final control to cut air-system maintenance
Genuine OEM
Genuine easy-Drive™ spare parts
Electrification widens the spares a site has to carry — electric drive components alongside the diaphragms, springs and relays of the pneumatic fleet. ACD supplies genuine Fisher™ easy-Drive™ parts so an electric actuator is repaired and back in service on the same parts discipline that protects the rest of your valves.
Tell us the valve, the duty and whether air is available — our team will confirm the right easy-Drive™ model or genuine parts.
